Where are you from and how long have you been living in Japan?
I was born and raised in Japan until Jr. High, then I moved to the USA, and recently came back to Japan.

What did you study, why, and what did you like the most?
I have studied Business, Psychology, Performing Arts and Education. I feel like I have been in School forever. I liked all of the subjects and all are useful, helpful and interesting. But I LOVED Performing Arts. It is my passion and my heart.

How long have you been teaching or working in Education?
I’ve taught Performing Arts at the University for seven years. Since I came back to Japan almost four years ago, I have been teaching at school.

What are the achievements you are most proud of?
I was also a fashion designer, and have received a several 1st place in dress design contest  during the fashion week in PA for two years consecutively.

What do you like most about teaching or working in Education?
The children are growing and changing as they grow. It is the most exciting thing about teaching that I get to be a part of their lives to inspire them.

What are your roles here at A-JIS?
I am a Performing Arts teacher for both PYP & MYP.

What do you do for fun?
I take classical Ballet lessons periodically still to stay in shape and embellish my technique.

Do you have any special sayings or expressions? Can you share them with us?
I always tell my students that “I am here for you when you need me.” I want to be an accountable teacher who can go to when the student needs a help.

Is there something interesting about yourself you would like to share?
I have lived and worked in multiple different professions, and I feel that I can guide the students in proper directions wherever they may want to go.
