The Japanese Speech Contest 2019 for Foreign Diplomats 9 July 2019

The Japanese Speech Contest 2019 for Foreign Diplomats was held on June 22nd.

This event, now in its 22nd year and Aoba has become the host from this year.
The Japan Foundation and Minato wards co-organized, and the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Monkasho (Education, Culture, Sports, and Technology), NHK, Minato ward supported.

11 diplomats from 11 embassies gave us interesting speeches, and about 250 audiences enjoyed them. In addition, Aoba students made some performances such as Taiko, Band, and Handbells, so that they boosted the contest.

At the end of the contest, the excellent speakers have received the Foreign Minister’s Prize, the Education Minister’s Prize and the Cultural Affairs Agency Prize respectively.

アオバジャパンインターナショナル主催、国際交流基金、公益財団法人 港区スポーツふれあい文化健康財団共催にて、第22回各国大使員日本語スピーチコンテストが、6月22日（金）を港区区民センターにて開催されました。当日は、11ヵ国、11名の外交官の方によるスピーチが行われ、約250名ほどの観客が訪れ、各国大使館員のユーモアに富んだ素晴らしいスピーチで観客を魅了しました。今回アオバは初めて運営に係わることとなり、スピーチの審査の合間には、アオバの学生による太鼓、バンド、ハンドベルの演奏も披露され、さらに開場を盛り上げました。コンテストの最後には、外務大臣賞、文部科学大臣賞、文化長官賞などそれぞれ優秀者に授与されました。
