Where are you from and how long have you been living in Tokyo?
I was born and grown up in Saitama. I still like Saitama, especially Omiya a lot though I live in Tokyo currently. I have stayed in Australia for about 2 years since I graduated from university. I lived in Melbourne and Sunshine coast. I like both of cities and found many differences between them.

What did you study, why, and what did you like the most?
I studied Special education and primary/intermediate education at university. I was thinking to have a kindergarten teacher’s certification at first. However I changed my mind later and I recognised that my decision was correct as I learnt a lot of things through the classes and doing student teaching at school.

How long have you been teaching or working in Education?
What are the achievements you are most proud of?
I have been teaching for 4 years and few years as volunteering job as a teacher. There are lots of teachers that I am inspired here, so I’ m very happy to work with them. I would like to be like them someday!

What do you like most about teaching or working in Education?
I feel happy and touched when students show me their growth, development and effort. I also like time when I can learn something from them.

What are your roles here at A-JIS?
PYP Japanese teacher. I teach Japanese from K3 to G4 this year.

What do you do for fun?
I started to take golf lessons recently. I would like to play golf in a golf course this summer! I’ll do my best at practicing it!

Do you have any special sayings or expressions?
My favorite saying is ‘ Everything happens for a reason’. My American friend told me it when I was in Australia. I always think about it when I have hard or sad experiences.

Is there something interesting about yourself you would like to share?
I’m planning to go on a short trip in Thai and Malaysia, especially visiting Bangkok and Kuala lumpur during this summer break.
