Spring Carnival 2023 Highlights 26 May 2023

The Aoba community dived into Spring with a marine-themed Spring Carnival!

On 20th April, students from all three campuses gathered at Hikarigaoka Campus with their families and friends for our annual Spring Carnival.

The theme was “Dive into Spring!”

  • Dive into environmental Issues, by protecting the oceans & the coral reefs
  • Dive into the Spring Carnival; celebrate with fun, joy and happiness
  • Dive into the Aoba Family Community; Reunite, share and act together

Hikarigaoka Campus was transformed into a beautiful marine-world for the day. To protect oceans and coral reefs, all sea decorations were made by all recyclable or reusable materials. The food zone minimized plastics by using reusable cups with a refund system and eco-friendly food service. Students led educational booths to promote environmental issues and SDGs.

The event was a fantastic success and we were blessed with sunshine. Students, families and friends enjoyed entertainment and festival foods. Many students demonstrated their talents with stage performances while others held booths to take action for things that they are passionate about. There were four zones throughout the campus: Adventure, Educational, Mystery, and Food. The Bouncy Castles were a hit with youngsters, while some picked up a bargain at the Bazaar. Others were lucky to win fabulous raffle prizes!

Thank you to our incredible Family Community for arranging this event and for bringing the Aoba community together again

Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time and energy to prepare such an enjoyable event!
