Doors Open to Aoba Families for Spring Carnival
Saturday April 17th marked an important day for us Aoba. It was the first time since 2019 that we were able to have our families join us on campus for our annual Spring Carnival. The Spring Carnival is always one of, if not our biggest event of the year. It’s a chance for our Aoba community to get together and celebrate learnings, make connections, perform and simply have fun. The event usually presents a chance for our Aoba community to grow as we open our campus to the surrounding community as well. However to keep the event as safe as possible we limited outside attendees to Aoba family members.
The sun shined on the outdoor stage where staff and students put on a variety of performances. The FC market where parents could buy school related goods, and many student run game and activity stations. The outdoor activities ended with a bang as the Senior School students put on a costume fashion show full of whimsical nature themed designs and some fun choreography to boot.
Inside the school building MYP students presented their research, findings and efforts from group projects. And in the Gym visitors could spectate on the myriad of talents our students showcased in the talent show.
This Spring Carnival represented a return to form for Aoba and our Family Community whose members put in tons of hours to organize and pull off the event.
A big thanks to the Family Community for all the effort. We are already excited for next year!
