Cultural Dive in Ueno 25 February 2019

During their present art project, Gr 11 Visual Arts Diploma students are exploring their personal and local culture. To collect first-hand information about Japanese traditional and contemporary culture the students visited the Tokyo National Museum, Ueno Park and the Ameyoko Market.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to appreciate Japanese art, its history, and its people. The students took photos, wrote notes with their impressions and took some time to make drawings of what they found interesting.  This material will be presented in their process journals to document their research and later on will be a source for their inspiration.
