This program is open to the local community to learn in English and make friends.

Applications for Aoba Summer School Program will be accepted starting from 26th March for external students.

Welcome to Aoba-Japan International School’s Summer Program 2024. Now is the time to make plans for summer.  We will have two very special programs as part of our Aoba Summer Program. There will be regular programs and special performance focused programs.  Also, we will have a “GO School Program” after the summer program until 16:40 for those who want to brush up their English skills.

Summer School Program 2024

【Grades】For kinder to middle year program students
*Performance program will be opened for high school students as well.

【Dates】June 17th, 2024 – August 9th, 2024(No classes on Saturdays and Sundays)

【Time】9:00 ~ 14:50 (gate opens at 08:50, bus leaves at 15:00)

                 15:00 ~ 16:40 GO School Program (No bus is available after GO School Program)

【Programs】* Classes and activities vary according to children’s English level.

 

1. Regular programs (Inquiry & Activity based learning)

This program provides a student-centered, inquiry-based, hands-on program where students learn in a relaxed and engaging environment.

Inquiry-based learning includes English, Japanese, music, and sports, including pool time. Hands-on activity-based learning is for Grade 3 and up, and is mainly physical movement with inquiry-based, hands-on activities and experiences. Due to the nature of the activity, G2 and under will have inquiry-based learning for all sessions but different content.

    ¥70,000/5 days, Early Bird Special Registration for Aoba students (Sign-up 4 March ~ 25 March)
    2)¥75,000/5 days, Regular Registration (Sign-up 26 March ~ 20 May)
    3)¥80,000/5 days, Late Registration, some sessions maybe full (Sign-up 21 May ~ 31 May )
  • Lunch: ¥ 7,500/5 days
  • School Bus (Round Trip only):  ¥ 15,000/5 days (Please pick up the bus stop from the registration form)
  • Registration Fee:¥11,000 (Non-Aoba students, First time only)

2. Special performance focused programs (Musical theater program)

Aoba-Japan International School offers students the life-changing opportunity to learn, practice, and perform under the guidance of professional faculty in the field at Musical Theatre Summer Camp. The camp provides two different programs based on the student grade levels.

1) Rising Star Camp for current Grade 1 to 4th graders, 7/15~7/19, 2024

2) Main stage Camp for current Grade 5 to 11th graders, 7/22~8/2, 2024

<Rising Star Camp>
A five-day Camp (M-F, 09.00 to 15.00) designed for NEW G2-5 students to promote confidence and collaboration skills in singing, movement, and storytelling. For this camp, we will produce “Aladdin Jr.”

    ¥70,000/5 days, Early Bird Special Registration for Aoba students (Sign-up 4 March ~ 25 March)
    2)¥75,000/5 days, Regular Registration (Sign-up 26 March ~ 20 May)
    3)¥80,000/5 days, Late Registration, some sessions maybe full (Sign-up 21 May ~ 31 May )

<Main Stage Camp>
Two-week camp (M-F, 09.00 to 15.00) designed for NEW G6-G12 teens. The camp will produce a fully-staged musical from the audition, rehearsal to performance including sets and costumes.

    ¥145,000/10 days, Early Bird Special Registration (Sign-up 4 March ~ 25 March)*Aoba Students Only
    2)¥155,000/10 days, Regular Registration( Sign-up 26 March ~ 20 May)
    3)¥165,000/10 days, Late Registration, No guarantee of availability (Sign-up 21 May ~ 31 May )

3. GO School Program
(Session 1-5 After School Program for brush up English Language skills)

This is After Summer English Boot Camp for Grades 1 to 9 (15:20 ~ 16:40 /80 min. every day after Summer School Session 1~5) Focus on Academic Skills and Communication Skills (more information here: GO School Program)

  • Upper elementary students experience different kinds of creative activities, such as creative arts, making movies, pottery, musical shows etc. 
  • Kinder and lower elementary students enjoy activities including visual arts, playing with water, PE, music etc.
