The A-JIS Benefactors Program
It is our hope that participating in the A-JIS Benefactors Program will be among your family’s top priorities. As an independent international school, A-JIS does not receive money from local taxes. A-JIS relies on wise stewardship, tuition income, extracurricular activities, and contributions to the Benefactors Program. Every gift to the Annual Fund is greatly appreciated. Whether it is a gift of $10 or $10,000, each gift represents a steadfast commitment to the success of our school, and we are truly grateful for every contribution.

The A-JIS Benefactors Program raises designated funds for our school to use to support development and improvement at the school at all levels: equipment purchases, field trips and international student experiences, technology for the classroom, professional development, tuition assistance, and more. The A-JIS Benefactors Program impacts our entire community in inspiring and innovative ways.
The A-JIS Donation Recognition Framework (in $US)
We invite you to become a partner in leading A-JIS to the forefront of international education. With each donation, we honor your kindness with recognition.
The top two categories of giving reflect the origins, spirit, and symbol of our school. The remaining categories capture the essence of the education we provide our students, and the emphasis we place on qualities that reflect international mindedness and that are core to the International Baccalaureate program and to our future.

Ways to Give to A-JIS
The Annual Fund
Each year, gifts to the Annual Fund enable us to maintain and enhance the overall quality of education offered at A-JIS. The Annual Fund provides additional support to the School’s budget, and allows the school to move forward in accordance with our strategic plan and goals.
Here are answers to some of your questions:
Q: What is the Annual Appeal Goal this year?
In the 2014-2015 school year, the goal for the Benefactors’ Program is to reach $500,000 in funding gifts. We are asking all of our stakeholders and supporters to help spread the word among parents in their grade toward both of these goals.
Q: Where does my gift go? How is the money used?
The Annual Fund is based on particular designations. Gifts to the A-JIS Benefactors’ Program affect our entire community by improving facilities, providing better classroom resources, enhancing teaching tools, additional professional development opportunities, and technology.
Q: Why is the participation in giving important for A-JIS?
Participation helps A-JIS represent our community at its best. When members of the community witness a high level of participation across stakeholders (board, parents, faculty/staff, alumni, industry, and private interest), there is a sense of pride and accomplishment. When people outside the A-JIS community see such high levels of participation, they can understand the extent of the A-JIS community’s enthusiasm and support for the school.
Q: How much should I give?
We ask every individual, family, and organization to make contributions to the program that are meaningful and sustainable.
Q: Will my $5 donation really make a difference?
Yes! Each gift moves us closer to our annual fund raising goals, and every gift brings us closer to making something new happen at A-JIS.
Q: Why should I make a donation now?
There are many reasons to give to A-JIS, and what motivates each of us may be different. The number one reason we hear from donors is that they are motivated to give because they love the school, they believe in its mission, and want to give (back).
