Aoba’s Graduates Excel Again in 2022 14 July 2022

Congratulations to the students of our Grade 12 Class of 2022 for graduating with Aoba’s High School Diploma. Our students achieved excellent academic results by completing either the IB Diploma (DP) or Global Leadership Diploma (GLD) programme. 

Of the DP students, 100% received the full Diploma, with 2 students receiving the Bilingual Diploma. This year’s highest score is 40. Our average score of 35 points is higher than the global average score of 32. The average grade was 5.47. The GLD students also graduated with exceptional academic results, with one achieving a grade point average of 6.9 out of 7. The GLD cohort also achieved acceptance into excellent International and Japanese universities.

Throughout the pandemic, our graduates showed remarkable resilience and dedication. Following the Aoba tradition of high academic achievement, university acceptances remain impressive (see Table 1). The University of Chicago (ranked 10 top worldwide) accepted a GLD student, while Japan’s Tohoku University, considered the top university in Japan, accepted a DP student 

These outstanding academic results and university acceptances again show Aoba’s capability to provide relevant and high quality tailor-made programmes to meet the diverse needs of all our students.
