Achievement of 200 programmes target (MEXT IB Consortium) 31 March 2023

Since 2018, Aoba has been entrusted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) with the mission of promoting the IB in Japan, with a goal to reach 200 authorized and candidate IB schools (programs) in 5 years.

The IB Promotion Project Department is happy to announce that we exceeded this goal and there are now 207 IB schools in Japan!

Throughout this project, Aoba’s contribution to the Japanese IB community has increased enormously. We are very grateful for everyone’s support so far.
