The IB Diploma Programme is an academically challenging and balanced program of education with final examinations that prepares students for success at university and life beyond. It has been designed to develop students who have excellent breadth and depth of knowledge and who flourish physically, intellectually, emotionally and ethically.

The DP Approach

The DP offers a curriculum that provides students with the opportunity to study from six subject groups, which include at least two languages, a humanities subject, a science subject and mathematics. It develops the whole learner through the IB Learner Profile, allowing them to grow as individuals. Students are required to complete a service program (CAS) as well as a 4,000-word research paper (Extended Essay). The Theory of Knowledge (TOK) course, which is another compulsory part, lets students explore how knowledge is gained and what it really means. Assessment in the DP is via a series of externally marked or moderated components such as examinations or assessed essays and is judged against the stated goals of the DP courses using direct evidence.
